Julia's Last T-ball Game & Party

Julia had a great time playing ball again this year.  She is not quite as serious about it as her brother and sister.  I'm not real sure we have a future ball player with her.

Memorial Day Fun

The Stovall's hosted a pool party and cook out for our Pirate Baseball Family to celebrate Memorial Day.  The kids had a great time swimming and playing with friends, while the parents enjoyed adult conversations.  Love our baseball family!

MSU Baseball

We took the kids to watch the Mississippi State baseball team play in the SEC Tournament in Hoover.  The Bulldogs were playing Texas A&M and we choose a good game to attend.  Not only was it a good game, the Bulldogs won!!  We love our Diamond Dawgs!

Jack's 4th Grade Play

Jack had his last elementary school play and graduation tonight.  Such a bitter sweet moment.  We are so ready for him to move on to middle school, but sad that he is no longer in the little school anymore.

Not the way we wanted to end....

last inning of the game,
2 outs,
down by 1 run,
runner on 3rd base,
your up to bat,
the clean up batter,
batting today with a single and a double in the books,
ground out to the short stop,
lots of stomps
and kicking of the dirt,
a slow walk back
to the 3rd base dugout!

Not the way Jack wanted to end the tournament this weekend, but what a fabulous weekend he had playing the sport he loves.  Jack is so hard on himself and no one is a bigger critic of his baseball skills than himself.  He was down in the dumps for the ride home, but he is much better now and ready for baseball lessons this afternoon.  I love my little slugger!  Oh, how I hate to see him down!  We will get them next time was his motto this morning!

Baseball is so much like the game of life.  We are given chances and we have to take risks.  Sometimes those chances and risks lead us to success and sometimes they lead us to failure.  What matters is what we learn and take from those experiences!  So as we move on from this learning experience let us not forget what we learned!

Dance Recital

Dance recital was not as chaotic this year with Savannah only performing for gymnastics and Julia only had one costume change!  Dance recitals are not my favorite because they are so long and drawn out.  I love seeing my girls on stage, but really hate sitting through all the other performances.
