And the Winning Teachers Are.....

August 6th was the much anticipated day Savannah and Jack have been waiting for all summer. This was the day we got to find out who their teachers are for the 2009-2010 school year.

Jack will be in 1st grade this year and we once again got very lucky in this grade. Jack got Mrs. Tammy Box. This is the same teacher Savannah had in 1st grade and we loved her. I know Jack is going to have a great year. Not only did he get a great teacher, lots of his friends are in his class with him.

Savannah will be in 3rd grade, which I still cannot believe that she is old enough to be in 3rd grade. Savannah's teacher this year will be Mrs. Judy Gray! We are very excited with her teacher as well. We have heard many great things about Mrs. Gray so we anticipate a great year. Savannah was excited with her teacher, but a little upset because she wanted Mrs. T. Mays. She told me she was going to stop wishing for a teacher because she never gets the one she wishes for. Even if she doesn't get the teacher she is hoping for each year, we have had the best teachers in the world for Savannah since she has been enrolled in school.

Basketball Camp

The last week of July, Jack attended a basketball camp in Winfield. He had a great time playing ball with a lot of his friends.

Fun With Grandma and Granddaddy!

While I was gone on my girls weekend, Savannah, Jack and Julia stayed with Trey's parents. Noah was there as well since Kelly is one of the friends who I go to the beach with each year. Trey was there most of the weekend with the kids, but he had to leave early Sunday morning for a business trip. The kids had a great time playing outside, riding the lawnmower and going to the splash pad.

Girl's Trip 2009

My best friends from college (Amy Mardis, Kelly Coker, Robin Beatty and Amanda Purser) and I take a trip every year. For the past two years we have gone to Orange Beach, Alabama for a long weekend get away. These are the best girlfriends a girl could have. They are always there for you no matter what the situation. This year was a little different because Amanda had lost her baby at 22ish weeks prego. It has been a very hard summer for her, but we were so excited that she still went with us on the trip. We were all able to talk and share things with each other. I love these girls so much. Life would just be better if we all lived closer to each other.
