Veteran's Day Program

The 2nd grade class always gets the honor of singing at the high school Veteran's Day Program.  Julia was so excited about going to sing for the big kids.

Where The Wild Things Are

Julia's class had a wild rumpus in honor of their reading unit of Where the Wild Things Are.  The students had to design a mask of a wild thing. Julia gave the honor of helping her with the mask to her Nana.  Nana is the expert on making this mask since I think this is the 5th grandchild to help with this project.

Hallowen 2013

The kids enjoyed dressing up and trick or treating for Halloween this year.  Savannah and Jack both think they are grown, but do still enjoy doing the fun things of being a kids with Julia.  We went to a few houses and then headed home since it was a school night and the kids got SOOO much candy from the few places we went.

The cheerleaders also had a fun Halloween party.

WCHS Homecoming 2013

The kids had a great time dressing up for Homecoming Week at school.

 

Savannah & Julia

Julia was so excited to be a mascot again this year.  She was even more excited because she got to be Savannah's mascot.

Fall State Baseball Tournament

The Pirates are playing in a few tournaments this fall to prepare for the spring baseball season.  The distance between the bases and the pitcher mound move this year so we needed a jump on getting ready for this big change.  We started the fall tournament with a close game with the Dragons.  We ended up with one lost in a game we should have one.  Then the boys stepped their game up and won the next game in pool play.  They were fired up and ready to play in bracket play.  The boys played their absolute best and came up the winners of the Fall State of Alabama Champions.  Jack played a great tournament. He was hitting well and pitching great.  Jack pitching is something I am still having the get use too.  Jack has normally just played 1st, 3rd and catcher.  It is a big change when my baby is on the mound controlling the tempo of the game.

These two got a little tired before the game was over!  This only lasted for a few minutes.
