A Few Days with Julia

I attended the Annual Transition Conference in Auburn on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Jack and Savannah are getting ready for SATs at school so they stayed with Nana and Pop while Trey and Julia went with me to Auburn. We left Sunday after church to head to Auburn. It was a great day to spend with just Julia. We took our time driving down to Auburn and stopped off at the Russell outlet to get a few things for this kids for baseball and softball. The conference was held at the Grand National Hotel and Conference Center in Opelika. Our room overlooked the golf course. Too bad for Trey I had to attend meetings all day and he had to keep Julia. Julia had a great time with her dad while I was in meetings. He took her swimming, play on a great playground and to eat breakfast at Waffle House. I love getting to spend one on one time with each of the kids. It gives them a chance to get all of our attention. I did miss the other two, but they had a great time with Nana and Pop.

Wild Game Supper 2010

Our church has a wild game supper every year. The men of the church cook all kinds of wild game meats like fish, deer, turkey, and whatever else. This year we only had fish, deer and shrimp. The food was great and everyone had a great time.

It's the Little Things!

My wonderful friend, Amanda Purser who we buy season tickets with and pay our Bulldog Club Membership with, sent me a new Bulldog Club Sticker for my new car! It is so great to get surprises in the mail that are not bills. I love you Amanda!

Peter Pan Ballet

Trey and I took Savannah, Jack, Julia, Meg and Davis to see the Birmingham Ballet perform Peter Pan on Saturday, February 27. I was concerned that the boys would not like a ballet but they loved it. I think because they knew the story and were able to follow along. Before the ballet we took the kids to eat at Sumo. The kids were so well behaved and everyone had a great time.

New Ride!

I am not a minivan mom anymore! I loved, loved my minivan, but it was time for a change. My minivan was in need of just about everything new so it was time for a new (well new to me) ride!

Happy 9th Birthday, Savannah!

Savannah turned 9 on February 13th. I cannot believe she is 9. It seems like yesterday we were just getting adjusted to having a baby. She is now growing into a wonderful young lady. This year for her birthday we took her and a few of her friends to Birmingham to eat lunch at Olive Garden and for manicures and pedicures at Sweet and Sassy. She and her friends had a great time!
