MSU vs. Alabama

The last MSU home game of the season for our family to attend was against Alabama. The game was horrible and MSU played horrible, but we had a great time visiting with friends from our college days. My sorority little sister, Christy Kent Malone, and her little boy came to tailgate with us. It was great to see her.

Now we are ready for next years football season. I know next year will be better because Coach Mullen has done a great job getting everyone back excited about being a Bulldog! The Bulldog Spirit on gamedays is very contagious.

MSU vs. Florida

We had a great time tailgating at the MSU vs Florida game with Amanda and her family. We had a few drop in visitors, but were very excited to see Amy and Chris Mardis.

At the MSU vs. Florida game, Savannah went to a cheerleader clinic with the MSU Cheerleaders. Her "Big Sister Cheerleader" was a girl name Courtney. Savannah found out all kinds of information from her but was so excited to tell me that Courtney is a Zeta and is going to live in the same house I lived in at State. Savannah had a great time. She got to go out on the field at halftime of the game and perform. We couldn't exactly pinpoint which one she was for sure, but they all did a great time job so we know she was awesome.

October Beach Trip 2009

Julia spent the first week of October in Destin with Trey's parents, sister and Noah. She had a great time playing in the ocean, in the and and swimming in the pool. We missed he dearly at home, but were super excited for her to spend time with her grandparents. We went to Destin on October 9th for a long weekend and to pick up Julia. It was a great trip and the weather was wonderful.

Tailgating

We have fallen in love with tailgating at Mississippi State Football Games. We have a great time socializing with old MSU friends and making new ones. The kids love to play out in the grassy fields with all the kids. There is always a pick up game of football or kickball for them to be involved in. We were so happy that at the Georgia Tech game it was not raining so the kids were able to play more than the previous games. The game was not that great, but we did have a great time. We have been smitten by the MSU bug and hope to have many more family memories attending games at and spending fall afternoons on the grounds of MSU.

Savannah's Third Grade Play

Savannah's play this year was tribute to the jazz. Once the kids get into 3rd grade at Winfield they do not dress up. The play was very cute and the kids did a great job. Savannah's song that she performed to was "Workin'". Savannah is a little ham and loves to be on stage. She most definitely got into this song and got a few laughs from the audience.

Alana's 9th Birthday Party

One of Savannah's best friends has a spend the night party at a hotel in Tupelo for her 9th birthday. Unfortunately for Savannah, Alana's mom is one of my friends as well and asked me to go with them for another adult supervisor. The girls had a great time swimming, playing games and being away from home. It was a great birthday and I think Alana had a very happy birthday. We love her and the Ballard family so much!
