Jack is 8!

I cannot believe my baby boy is 8! He is such a joy in our lives and I can't imagine not have this one and only boy. He loves on his Mommy one minute but is ready to go play ball. He lives life to the fullest and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.

This year Jack had his birthday party at the Guin Waterpark. He had a lot of friends join him to celebrate his birthday with him.

Monday we went to Alabama Adventure with Rhonda's family to celebrate Jack's birthday. It was very hot, but we all had a great time.

7 Year Old Rookie All Star Tournament

Jack played on the Rookie All Star Team and did wonderfully. The entire team was wonderful.

Game One: Winfield vs Haleyville 13-1
Game Two: Winfield vs Brooks 14-1
Game Three: Winfield vs Underwood National 17-10
Game Four: Winfield vs Underwood American 16-0
Game Five: Winfield vs Tuscumbia 13-10

The team ended the tournament undefeated and District 11 Champs.

Fun at Nana's Pool

I'm sure this is the first of many times we will blog about this this summer. The kids have a great time at Nana's pool just like we did when we were younger. It brings back so many memories of great summers with Tammy and the other Arrowhead kids.

Happy Birthday Maddie Moore

Maddie Moore turned 5 and had her birthday party at the Fayette Splash Pad. The kids had a great time. Savannah couldn't seem to walk she had to do front walkovers and back walkovers through the entire splash pad. At the beginning of the party Jack acted as if he was too cool to play on the splash pad with the little kids but as soon as a boy his age got there he was ok playing with the little kids.

Soul Survivor Island

Bible School at our church was title Soul Survivor Island this year. We did a new set up and had VBS during the day and for only three days. It worked out great and I hope we do it in this set up again.

Happy 12th Anniversary

Trey and I went to Fairhope, Alabama for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Thanks to Renee and Hugh Blackwell for allowing us to stay in your condo. Fairhope is a cute, quaint little town. I loved it. We will have to go back and take the kids in the future, well maybe they wouldn't enjoy it like we did. Anyway we had a great time sitting on the beach, eating great seafood and shopping. It is really weird to go to the beach without kids begging to go into the ocean or having to help the kids peel their shrimp. It was a great trip. I have married my best friend in the world and we have been blessed beyond measure.

Winfield Elementary School Awards Day

The kids had awards day a few days before school was out for summer. They both did great this year. It was a much better year for Jack. He had a awesome teacher! Jack got an award for all A's for the year and a Lt. Governor's Physical Fitness Award. Savannah got an award for all As for the year, highest spelling average in her class and the Lt. Governor's Physical Fitness Award.
