Destin

We braved the reports of oil on the Emerald Coast and headed to Destin for a long weekend. Trey was not able to leave work until Thursday so we headed down without him, but with a great babysitter/friend, Caroline. The kids had a great time with someone who would play with them at all times. When we got there on Wednesday there was some tarballs on the beach, but Thursday we did not see the tarballs. Friday we went to Big Kahunas Water park for the first time and had a blast. The kids are not scared of anything and will try any water slide they are tall enough to ride. We ate really well and got great starts to our summer tans so it was a wonderful weekend.

Jack is 8!

I cannot believe my baby boy is 8! He is such a joy in our lives and I can't imagine not have this one and only boy. He loves on his Mommy one minute but is ready to go play ball. He lives life to the fullest and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.

This year Jack had his birthday party at the Guin Waterpark. He had a lot of friends join him to celebrate his birthday with him.

Monday we went to Alabama Adventure with Rhonda's family to celebrate Jack's birthday. It was very hot, but we all had a great time.

7 Year Old Rookie All Star Tournament

Jack played on the Rookie All Star Team and did wonderfully. The entire team was wonderful.

Game One: Winfield vs Haleyville 13-1
Game Two: Winfield vs Brooks 14-1
Game Three: Winfield vs Underwood National 17-10
Game Four: Winfield vs Underwood American 16-0
Game Five: Winfield vs Tuscumbia 13-10

The team ended the tournament undefeated and District 11 Champs.

Fun at Nana's Pool

I'm sure this is the first of many times we will blog about this this summer. The kids have a great time at Nana's pool just like we did when we were younger. It brings back so many memories of great summers with Tammy and the other Arrowhead kids.
