After we left the aquarium, we had lunch and then went up to Ober Gatlinburg. We took the kids snow tubing while we were up there. So much fun. Savannah and Jack loved it the entire time. They both wanted to spin and go backwards down the mountain the entire time. Julia was a little scared a first, but quickly started to enjoy the fun. The last time we went down the mountain she wanted to go backwards as well.
After the exciting afternoon of snow tubing, we went to dinner at Bubba Gumps. We had a great waiter, who was very entertaining. He had all kinds of Forrest Gump trivia for us. Who knows what the feather symbolizes in the movie?
Wednesday has now come and it is time to go home, but not without a trip to Cherokee. In Cherokee, they have a great petting zoo where you can feed bears. The kids love it. We also got to see an Indian and the kids got their picture made with him. He was super nice. We got to hear a few stories about how he had never been anywhere away from Cherokee except one time he went to Philadelphia, Mississippi when he was 10 to play in a "stick ball" match.
We had a great vacation, but it went by too quick. Now we are back to normal life counting down until the next vacation. I guess that will be a weekend get-away to Natchez for Trey's first cousin's wedding.
