Julia had to decorate a pumpkin to display in the halls at preschool. She wanted it to look like Bully. I am not that creative so this is what she ended up with.

MSU Homecoming 2010
Saturday, October 23, 2010 was Homecoming at Mississippi State University. We left early to head to Starkville to get everything set up for our day of tailgating. The girls and I went up to the Zeta Tau Alpha house for the Homecoming Brunch for a few minutes. Julia was amazed at how big the house was.
The game was not great. The Bulldogs were not playing very well, but we still came out on top. The MSU Bulldogs are currently ranked 23 in the nation in the Coaches Poll and the BCS and are BOWL ELIGIBLE!!!! Of course they are going to a bowl game the year we have a trip planned for the week of bowl games. It was a great day to be a an MSU Bulldogs, well everyday is a great day to be an MSU Bulldog!

Welcome Back From The Swamp
At half time of the MSU vs. Florida game last night, Trey told the kids if the Dawgs will we will load up and go to Starkville to welcome the team home. I thought he was really joking with the kids. But when the field goal was missed with 4 seconds left in the game, Trey was hurrying the kids to get their shoes on and grabbing cowbells. Yes, it was really late, but it was a great experience for the kids to see the guys smiling from ear to ear after the great win. We were able to get some pictures of the kids with a few of the players. I can't identify all of the guys without their jersey numbers on. It was and always is a great day to be a MSU Bulldog!

WCHS Homecoming 2010
This week was Homecoming week at Winfield. The kids had a great time dressing up each day. Monday was College Day. Trey didn't get a picture of the kids before they left for school, but of course they were decked out in Maroon and White. Tuesday was camo day.
Wednesday was Decade Day.
Thursday was Tacky Day. Savannah did not get to dress up on this day because she was going on a field trip to Moundville.(I am going to have her blog about that in another post.)
Friday was Spirit Day.
On Friday afternoon the kids rode on the floats for their respective grades in the Homecoming Parade.
We all ended Homecoming Week by attending the football game in which Winfield won 59-7. Great Week!

MSU vs Alcorn State
On Saturday, October 2 Mississippi State hosted Alcorn State University for a morning of football. The kids were able to take a few friends with them because I had a very generous friend give us three tickets. We got into our parking spot and headed toward the stadium just in time to see the Alcorn State band march in parade style to the stadium. I am very sure they felt very welcome in Starkville because all of the State fans were lining the streets of campus, taking pictures and videos of the great band. The half time performance of the Alcorn State band was just as impressive and they received a standing, cowbell ringing ovation as they exited Scott Field. The Bulldogs won another home game, making for a great day of Bulldog Football.
After the game we went over to Little Dooey's for a very traditional Starkville meal.
