Alana's 9th Birthday Party
One of Savannah's best friends has a spend the night party at a hotel in Tupelo for her 9th birthday. Unfortunately for Savannah, Alana's mom is one of my friends as well and asked me to go with them for another adult supervisor. The girls had a great time swimming, playing games and being away from home. It was a great birthday and I think Alana had a very happy birthday. We love her and the Ballard family so much!

MSU vs. JSU
This year we bought season tickets to Mississippi State football games with one of my college roommates, Amanda. The opening game was September 5th and we had a great time! We went over to Starkville early to tailgate with one of my other roommates, Amy Mardis, and some of her husband's family. We are so excited to have tickets this year! The kids had so much fun and cannot wait until the next home game. We are raising true Bulldogs! They even snuck in their own cowbells into the game. Yes ,we are teaching our kids early to do illegal things. At least it is not something that is going to hurt them, it is something that does mean a lot to the team we are cheering for. I cannot imagine being at Scott Field without the cowbells ringing.
The game was great, especially since the Dawgs won 48-7. We won't see many wins like that this year. The only downside to the game and day was the rain. Thank goodness Amy, Chris and Amanda had extra ponchos they could share with us since we didn't have any with us. Trey bought one for himself and Jack. We will take them with us from now on.
Winfield vs. Fayette
Friday, August 28th Winfield played Fayette in the first football game of the season. I teach at Fayette, but graduated from Winfield so I have very missed emotions about this game. Of course I always want my Alma Mater to win, but I hate to cheer against the kids I know so well. Savannah, Jack and Julia have a hard time with this game as well because they know so many of the kids that play ball, cheer or twirl at Fayette. One of their favorite Fayette people is Anna Litton. She is a cheerleader at Fayette and my kids love her. Julia wore her Pirate cheerleader outfit to the game, but she insisted that she looked like Anna. Here is a picture to prove to her one day that she did not look like Anna in her Pirate cheerleader outfit and Anna in her Tiger cheerleader outfit.
